Before the first use, wash each dilator with hot water and a neutral soap. After every use, clean and dry thoroughly before storing in the provided bag.

The recommended position is lying on your back with legs bent and slightly apart, though you may also stand with one leg raised on a chair. Apply lubricant (or water) to the tip of the dilator or the vaginal entrance to ease insertion. Breathe calmly and insert the smallest dilator, leaving it in place for 8–10 minutes. Then gently move it in and out without fully removing it, repeating this motion about 20 times.

At first, you may only be able to insert the tip—this is completely normal. Unless otherwise advised by your doctor, repeat the exercise three times per week for two weeks. Once you are comfortable with the smallest size, move to the next size and follow the same process. When the largest dilator can be inserted without discomfort, you may be ready for penetrative sex.
